secure.ambrosiasw.com Is this site legit?

I was getting timed out errors trying to connect to www.ambtosiasw.com through the links on introversions store page. I couldn't get any connection to the ambrosiasw site no matter how I entered the address. On a whim I tried store.ambrosiasw.com and was directed to https://secure.ambrosiasw.com/
Maybe I am just being paranoid but I was woried that this was an imposter site. Can anyone confirm for me that this site is legitimate? If so, why hasn't the introversion site updated the link? Aren't they supposed to be partners? Have DoS hackers hijacked the legit site? Won't someone please think of the children?

I hear and thank you. I bought the game form the "secure" site, hoping that I would be able to download it. Unfortunately it directed me to www.ambrosiasw.com, so no love for me. I sent them an e-mail. Hope the porblem clears up soon. I'm dying to try this game. :cry:

Don't worry, there's no subterfuge going on, the Ambrosia store is indeed located at http://secure.ambrosiasw.com. The main site http://www.ambrosiasw.com doesn't seem to be functioning at the moment, but it isn't an incorrect URL on IV's part.

To add to what KingAl said, Ambrosia Software is the publisher of the Mac version of IV's games (Uplink, Darwinia, and Defcon). If you are trying to buy the Mac version of any of those games, then you would be directed to http://ambrosiasw.com . This is legitimate and correct. The fact that the site is down is annoying, and probably a bad sign, but the site is legitimate.

Ambrosiasw seems to be back online. I am attempting to download the game, but I see a server error message on the page. It may be because I am on a secured network and it is interfering. No email from the company yet. If anyone else uses the site, let me know if you are having trouble too. >_<

This is what the error says

I found a Resources>AddOnFiles link on the game's description page. It seems the full version of the game is there. I am downloading it now, seems to be working.

The site is back up <www.ambrosiaws.com>. I got everything downloaded. They decided to renovate their site at the same time I decided to buy. It's much easier on the eyes, looks much more professional. :lol:
