Anyway, I last played Darwinia in the form of its current demo a longggg time ago (PC Gamer's Addict - that's the Australian edited version of PC Gamer I believe) and now there's DEFCON and stuff mixed in the news + multiwinia and Vista Darwinia and everything plus now I know of gestures...

Can someone give me a quick explanation of...

- What's multiwinia compared to Darwinia?
- Does the Vista version have all the 1.42 patch fixes?
- DEFCON != Darwinia???

I don't see how one could get could get confused about that. It is effectively the same as saying as "Half Life != Counter Strike???"

Also, Introversion announced "Multiwinia", so they might have adopted it for official use.

That was a direct quote, not just an excuse to call you a 'fucking idiot'

But as has already been established, Darwinia is quite distinct from Defcon - it was that, and not just the three question marks, which made your post appear strange. In future, I'd suggest doing a quick Google search before starting a topic on a question of that nature.
