It was a joke by Introversion. Caused a bit of a problem when it came out on Steam, if I remember.

There are several "bootloaders" that can run when you start Darwinia. Under default settings, they are selected randomly. One of these bootloaders looks like an old Amiga demo, and is probably what you are talking about.

Maybe you are a bit too young.
This is a Game Loader or Intro used in old Commodore/Amiga/Atari Warez.
Btw: Introversion has the best Copyprotection available: good games and reasonable prices.
