Darwinia Screensaver...Matrix?

Postby NullProgrammer » Tue Oct 10, 2006 3:10 am

Would someone please record the part in the game where the darwinians come down like the Matrix? It was in the beginning of the game I think and it was an intro. It was REALLY cool. All you'd have to do was record it and then put it on repeat and use it as a screensaver. Can anyone help me out? I would really like to use it. Maybe if the game creators could assist... I couldn't find the file where the video's were stored.

Not a video, that was rendered in-game.

You could probably whip up a duplicate in Flash to use as a screen saver easily enough.

I've made it! With friendly permission of Szczepan I manipulated his fabulous Matrix Screensaver to show only Darwinians.

Download the Darwiniatrix now.

Is nice!

But, it doesn't feel the same as the bootloader, for an unknown reason.

Still, it's my new screen saver.

I know why it seems different, its becausethe darwinians are smaller, because the screen size is bigger.
It also has less darwinians, I was hoping for an extremely crouded darwinetrix, not for large blank spaces to appear.
Still, it is also my screen saver now too.

Play a bit with the settings, increase the number and the length of the columns and it will be "extremely crouded".

God thats annoying... The threads only 4 months old.

We have threads in our (very active, more than here) forum that haven't seen a post for over a year and then will suddenly get a new message. No-one says "don't revive threads" on ours...

What you should have said was, "don't revive a 4 month old thread just to post something stupid"

This has been a public service announcement from me, the man in charge. Do or die.

Oh, burn! I think you need to get off the forums, and go back to playing ToastCon!
