Recommended difficulty?

From 1 (Standard) to 10 (Hard)? I just got the game and i want a not so easy difficulty.

Difficulty 1 is the original difficulty of the game before the Difficulty system was introduced via a patch. So any level higher than 1 is harder than the original game. Keep in mind that you can change the Difficulty between levels - or partway through one if you're willing to reset it and start it over again.

I would recommend playing it through at 1 the first time, and then raising it for subsequent playthroughs. If you insist on making things harder for yourself, then just start at 10, and dial it down as needed.
