Steve Irwin: Dead

Postby Major Cooke » Mon Sep 04, 2006 7:55 pm

It's everywhere in the news that Steve Irwin died today at 11:00 a.m. GMT +6:00... Say a little prayer for him, he was a crazy but holarious croc hunter.

He was killed because he accidentally stepped on a stingray's tail, and when it lashed out in defence, it hit him right under the ribcage, next to his heart, and when he got out of the water, he keeled over and died.

RIP, Steve Irwin.

You, my good sir, have either a vivid imagination or a poor source. Try the BBC News page.

On a side note, people have already come up with sick jokes, "Upon being asked what his favourite childhood cartoon was Steve Irwin said, 'Thundercats' but stated, 'Stingray will always hold a place in my heart'".

"Steve Irwin should have worn sunscreen to protect him from the harmful rays."

Disclaimer: this ain't mine. The person who made the joke got their thread locked soon after. Just noting the fact that such jokes don't take long before they surface.

Of course not. Crude jokes are way to relief pain.

You know, it's sad that we live in a time when a family can be torn apart by something as simple as a pack of ferral dogs.

It wasn't about information; it was about when that goddamn animal finally bites him.

Yeah, but he normally "worked" (better:annoyed) snakes and crocodiles. My whole family just watched it to see him get bitten.

Steve Irwin was a BIG personality and was fresh and fun to see on TV. Of course everyone thought he was a bit of a nutcase, but thats what made him so watchable. I cannot recall another wildlife/conservation/croc/snake show in recent times that came even close to his shows for entertainment. RIP.
