been a lurker for many years as I bought Uplink when it first came out and loved it.
Never got Darwinia because I hate real time strategy and figured the controls for this would be as twitchy, but then I downloaded the demo on steam and loved it. Played it to death.
At the weekend I found a new boxed copy in Game that they had rescued from some dying branch in the middle of nowhere (I like steam, but there's nothing like a box in your hand) and I've been playing it since.
If you're browsing the forum (like some post I read) wondering whether this game is good i can assure you it is great.
It features everything I like about RTS with none of the silly unit selecting problems that always cause me to curse its name.
I was particularly touched by the old spectrum loading screen and I have just completed the section with the valley overrun by ants and I am just blown away.
Really well IV! Great work.
Would like to say that I just got this and am v.impressed

Welcome to the boards. Please wipe your feet on the way in. These boards are equipped with four emergency exits: on near the tail, two over the wings, and one at the front. In the event of a water landing, NeoThermic may be used as a floatation device. Be careful, the doors are closing. The next stop will be surreal. Glad you liked the game :)

hey cool - thanks for the warm welcome.
and I'll be sure to remember your .. err .. advice.
still all seems very new and I have no idea what modding involves, but I imagine I'll take a look at that as it is my cup of tea.
