Love This Game

Postby N0ught » Mon Mar 13, 2006 6:51 am

I finally played the Darwinia demo to the end (three times), and I'm hooked. I'm buying this game ASAP! :D

This is the kind of game you can fall asleep playing and continue to dream about... and with all of the mods available, I wont get bored any time soon.

One thing: I would like to see a mod where AI (good balanced AI) takes control of the squads, engineers and officers. You could watch Darwinia as it plays itself, like simearth or a similar game - just for fun. It's an idea. ;)

Anyway thats my two pennies.

that would be nice with the AI mod but it's all hardcoded :(
Modding with Darwinia is very limited by the amount IV have hardcoded.

Yay! Got a response for my order - Darwinia should be in my mailbox within a few days!

I can't wait. :D

Introversion should really consider softcoding it...it would allow much greater variety to the game.

it would. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of AI for defcon was scripted - since that is pretty much the only moddable thing in defcon othger than skins and maybe maps (doubtful)

i didnt get so hooked onto this game, played the demo a month ago, played it again today after seeing its like "best classic game" or something, and i am not so hooked on it. I feel it is a bit shallow where you have engineer going to reprogram or collect bodies and squaddies where you clikc on an enemy as fast as you can
