Right click on the armour and it will switch to 'pick up' mode, and pick up nearby Darwinians. Right click again and it will switch to 'drop off' mode, and drop off any Darwinians it has already picked up.
If you hold the right mouse button, and left click somewhere, it will move to that location and deploy into a gun turret. Darwinians can man the turrets and use them to fire at enemies.

I don't know about holding the right mouse while left clicking.

To deploy a gun turret simply have the Armour selected and then right-click somewhere to place a flag. The Armour will travel to that flag and deploy itself.

Note that sometimes the armor develops a mind of its own and travels off away from where you told it to go.

Also sometimes it's very hard to get the armor to deploy at the flag you set. It'll go there and just sit. May take a few times to get it right.

No. Once Armour is deployed, it cannot be undeployed. However, as long as green DGs are in control of the Armour, you can destroy it by selecting it and hitting [CTRL]+[C]. If red DGs capture it, you will have to blow it up or retake it to get rid of it.

I'm having trouble with the armour as well. By the time I killed the darn flowers (subsequently the virus infection) and started producing armour, I had only a handful of darwinians left. No problem, told them to get in, sent it to deploy near the only way into the ant infestation. Problem is, I have a flag placed but no armour ever goes to it. I got busy trying to get into the ant infestation and when I realized I could not do it with only a squad, I cant locate the armour and I have no more darwinians to fill another.

I really don't want to do this level again, this time through anyway.

What did I miss? Is there anything I can do to salvage this level?

You can kill the ants with squads. That's how I finished the level way back when I didn't know how to use armour. However, it takes a little effort... :D

Besides, it isn't the Ants that are important. Destroy the Anthills.

Well, I managed to complete the objectives without destroying any of the anthills. Couldjn't get near them. Used the level to familiarize myself with using the armour that is produced on this level...

Thanks anyways guys.

Only problem I still have is where can I spawn armour? It's in the program list but the cursor won't allow me to place it anywhere. No red circles and the cursor always has a red X on it.

Only at gates that are connected to levels you come from.

Ok. Seems (sorta) logical. I'll look when I enter the next level. Thanks.

Squads can only be created near Control Towers.
Engineers can be created near control towers or near Squads.
Armour can only be created near Trunk Ports (This is because supposedly the Yard is where the Armour is created and it uses the Trunk Port to travel to your level)

Simply deploy two Armours at the entrance, and they will keep the ants busy with collecting souls. Send a squad around the mountain on the left side to reprogram the two ports there. After that, go on suicide missions to the anthills and use airstrikes/grenades on them. Rinse and repeat, easy peasy. :P

(I always use airstrikes, the satisfaction of bombs dropping is wunderbar!)
