Gahh! I finished the game last night, but only just, the last couple of level's I had to crawl through at 5-15 fps. Very frustrating. Also I had several CTD's during the very last mission and because of the "intuative" autosaves I had to re-do a good 30 minutes each time. Very Very frustrating. Although I dont have a beast of a box(XP1500+, FX5600 256, 512 DDR) it is well over the min specs, (Incidently it ran both HL2 and Doom3 without a flicker at 1024x768)
Tarnished an otherwise excellent gaming experiance.

Tried the standard procedures, such as updating drivers, turning Realtime sound off and defragging?

The last level shouldn't be too bad FPS-wise (Biosphere, agreed, that one tugs a lot), so there must be something that makes Darwinia none too happy :)

I had a huge problem with the second ant population. (Receiver I think was the level's name...) Set everything as low as possible, still only 3-4 FPS... Damn ants...

I do want to say, though, that with a low framerate (think ~10) I find game to be much more playable that any FPS would with the same framerate.
