My guess is by e-mail. The to me seems to be the best method of distribution. Though they may put it on a FTP serve and password lock it. I doubt it will be large enough to require a CD mail out.

Since it's currently under 1 meg, I'd say Secure FTP or Email.

I'm glad that it'll probably be under 5 megs then, because I have a web e-mail address and it can only store up to five megs. That shows you how cheap I am.

Strewth. Switch to Yahoo! Mail, they've just started equipping free accounts with 100MB as standard :)

I would, but I've already signed up for the beta. I'm not sure if it's somewhat of a first-come, first-serve basis. Chris, If I switch to Yahoo and sign up for the beta test again, will I get put at the back of a line?

If memory serves, a resubmission merely cancels your last submission, and it's not first-come first-serve, I don't think - else they could end up with one hundred 1337 D00DZ for beta testers ;)

By "first-come, first-serve" I meant that there will be those submissions that are looked at before others. I'm afraid that if I re-sumbit, it will delete my first submission, and put me at the end of the "line" so to speak.

It will delete your last submission (hence you can only submit one application), but it isnt "first come first serve". Its Chris going "Oh, this person has a different piece of hardware that no one else has, I'll choose them. Oh, this person has the same PC as someone I have already got... I'll leave them for now", but saying that, he will still probably look at all applications :P

Selection of beta testers is based entirely on the hardware they have. If you resubmit your application it will overwrite the old one with new data. So please do keep us up to date if your hardware or contact details change.

And if we have a bit of hardware that isn't listed? Then what shall we do?

Then post the closest device...I know I had to do it w' my sound card. Oh, and I find it most likely they will use passworded FTP distribution as many E-mail servers get somewhat ratty when you start trying to force any more than a few 100k though them at a time (in reference to the likes of hotmail.com). It wouldn't be a problem with me, I don't think, but if I were in their shoes, FTP would be my first choice.
