My soundcard is not listed in the batatest list

how do i sign up?

i mean i could put someother soundcard down, but wouldent that just be against the whole point of the bata test if i got it?

btw i have a C-Media AC97

Quite a few other people have had the same problem as you...I would suggest choosing whatever sound card you think is most similar to the one you have, then post your actual system specs in the "Additional Information about Beta Testers' Hardware" thread in this forum.

I think that your soundcard comes under the "Generic AC97 Codec" option but don't quote me on it.

Nah, what our noob friend here didn't realise was that the 'Apply' button on the beta application page doubles as 'apply to forums' AND as 'apply to beta'. i.e. you have to go back after registering at the forums, and CLICK THE SAME LINK, and bang, there you are

No, it isn't. You didn't know because you were already registered by IV staff. The 'Apply' link does link you to the beta-application page, but a PHP script (in phpBB I think) redirects you to register as a member of the forums first (if you're not already a member). Now I can see why you guys have been bashing n00bs so much...'cos none of you had to do the first step.
