ARRGH PEOPLE! Stop the spam!

Postby Starfyre » Fri Jun 25, 2004 10:58 am

Okay, as many seem to have ignored and / or not read the post here:
http://forums.introversion.co.uk/darwin ... &start=105

Here's a collective call and suggestion:

1) General / Offtopic Topics, as well as Uplink Topics, should go HERE:
http://forums.introversion.co.uk/uplink/

2) No more Darwinia related topics with values that hang by a silk thread. If we get 50 topics with the header "WILL YOU LIKE DARWINIA?" or "HOW WILL YOU OPEN THE BOX WHEN YOU GET IT?" frankly don't add anything really productive at all.

3) Restrict polls to Admins only. There is no need for users to make polls, at least not in the General Darwinia Forum. Should we ever get an Off-Topic here, I wouldn't mind them there.

I'm not saying this because I'm a whiny little bastard, but franky, the forum is beginning to become an unreadable mess.

Greetings,
- Starfyre

I'm gonna take it slow and steady, gently prying the case open

I have a tendency of opening game boxes with a razorblade, with which I also open letters :D

Okay, but you see, it's silly to speculate about it because we don'T even know what box it'll ship in.
It might even be metal, or maybe a box where you have to win 20 rounds of Pacman on a small front display to get it open.
Ya never know. And that's the point of this thread. It's too early yet to ask all sorts of questions that are being asked :D

That'd be quite cool actually... or you have to win a game to get the installer to start. But I think it's more likely that it will ship in a standard DVD case, don't you?

What just stops someone from smashing open the box? Or connecting to the pacman game and hacking it open?

I think post and packaging will make it to expensive then. And I don't think customs would like that either. Just a guess though.

Who said that the post office is going to deliver it? what stops them from using a Herc. and dropping them out with parachuits attached?
