How many have signed up for the beta test?

Postby AgentX 24 » Wed Jun 23, 2004 10:21 pm

I know probably evryone on here will have signed up for it, but as there are 100 places, it would be interesting to know exactly how many people have signed up to see how much of a chance we actually have. So just reply yes to the poll if you signed up, and no if you didn't.

Ok, instead of that small group of 7 it is now up to 24 so chances have dropped for all people who are here just for the sake of beta testing (which is probably most of the influx of new people coming here).

Now 32 forum goers are interested in the beta testing.

Whoa, I just saw that there are a thousand of people joined the forums and did not post anything (or posting up to 2 or less posts and left the forum). Is there any posibility that Introversion will choose those that have posted many times??

If so, I'll go and spam :) .

Spamming will get you nowhere. The guys at IV know better than that, they've been monitoring the forums since Uplink every now and then, although some more than others (ie. Chris). The only you have to get signed up as a beta tester is to pray, although, those who have beta-tested Uplink before has a 95% rate of success already in their hands. ^^

Yeah, I signed up too. I'm not hoping too much, as I'm certain more than 12 people have signed up. ^.^
However, I am still keeping my fingers crossed and I'm hanging around in the background here, as I geniunely want to help make Darwinia something really special.

I think Chris should increase the limit to 150 or 175, since I think many of you are good boys out there :D .

No, I think 100 is a good number.

Remember that this is not *for* us, this is for IV, to help them iron out bugs and other issues and as such it's not their duty to get as many people from here on board, no matter how bad we want in. Also, IV is like, 4/5 people. You try handling test reports from 100 or so testers.

Remeber though, not everyone who has signed up for beta will visit these forums. So this poll wont really tell us anything, but meh.

I tend to disagree. It was a requirement during application for beta-testing that a candidate MUST have an account in these forums (I signed up, so I should know). Which is why, all forum members from Uplink were automatically registered in here, because those who helped beta-test Uplink before will get priority in the selection.
