I have been unable to edit the "InvalidCrates" field with any success. The aim was to create a scenario in which four players (two teams) started with six nuke barrages, with the crate drop period set to ten, on "A Monument to the Heavens", for singleplayer (The idea came from this thread-

First off, that code snippet isn't really enough to see what is going on. You need to post the entire map file. What you posted looks fine.
Second, this post probably should have been made in the topic that you linked to. It is better to bump an old topic than to create new one, especially when one needs to open the other topic anyway in order to know what you are on about.

As dumb as this sounds, you've misspelled Bitzkreig. You've also missed out Darwinians.

The game files refer to it a Bitzkreig, rather than the correct Blitzkrieg. I have tried both, and excluded Darwinians because I couldn't see the power-up it actually resembles. The issue, though, is the fact all crates seem enabled.

You know, when someone with a lot more experience than you suggests that perhaps you did something wrong, "No" is not the correct answer. I was trying to help you fit in around here. That thread is relevant, as evidenced by the fact that you posted a link to it. It would have been a perfect place to discuss your attempt to modify the map.

in relation to the issue. Don't bring experience into this. There was no point in posting it there, as the thread did not concern modding- it gave me the idea, so I referenced in case someone noticed.
The entire file would take up a significant amount of space and be unnecessary. I was half expecting someone to criticize me if I did.

It would not take up too much space, and if someone asks you to post the entire map, then you probably should. Once again, what you posted looks fine, but the rest of the map is missing. Are you sure that Multiwinia is even loading your version of the map, and not the version in the .dat archive? Where are you putting your edited version of the map? What does your Multiwinia directory structure look like?
I extracted main.dat with winRAR, editing mp_assault_4p_2, then compressing back to a .dat file.

You shouldn't compress it back to the .dat - try putting the map in the right folder as if the Multiwinia folder was the .dat file.
Or was it Multiwinia/data? I don't remember... :/

In the complete map that you have saved on your computer, is there a blank like at the very end? In the quoted map, there is not, which has the potential to cause problems. You might also try the following: rename main.dat to something else (such as main-old.dat), then extract it. This should create a new directory in your Multiwinia directory called data/ . Multiwinia should try to read from that directory, and if it is unable to read from main.dat (because it has been renamed), then we can be sure that it is reading everything from the files correctly. There should be no need to recompress or rerar everything, and this could be causing problems (it shouldn't, but let's remove as many variables as we can).
Second, you say that you are editing mp_assault_4p_2, yet the file you have posted appears to be mp_domination_4p_2.txt . Are you sure that Multiwinia is loading your map when you think it is, and not the actual Monument to the Heavens map? You could easily check this by deleting or commenting out the lines that start "StaticShape..." If you get rid of those lines, then load the map, there should be no columns or Easter Island statues in the level.
Basically, I am still not entirely certain that Multiwinia is actually loading your altered version of the map.

There isn't. Correcting this appears to have rectified the issue.

Sorry, a mistake. I have been editing mp_domination_4p_2.
