Crashing after game completion.

Postby Phetal » Wed Nov 05, 2008 11:55 pm

The last two times I've played, I've won. But my greatness isn't the point. The point is that the last two times I've played, I've crashed to desktop immediately upon the timer hitting 0. I have a steam version of the game, but I have been running it without steam open. Could this be the problem? I don't know... I'll go experiment.

Just pointing it out. I'll post back after I've figured a bit more out.

Missing steam may indeed be the problem. Maybe you got an achievement for winning, and the crash was MWs unsuccessful attempt to tell steam so.

ahhhhhhhhhhhhh.... astute observation. One game played on Steam vs. CPU's... I won... no crash.

thanks for your reply!

If you want to play the game without steam, just download the regular non-steam demo version. Then, authenticate that with your steam authkey (found in <steam>/SteamApps/common/multiwinia/authkey).
