Blue virus bug

It's been quite a while since this bug was introduced (Darwinia early beta), but I've finally figured out the cause.
The bug: Sometimes, virii turn blue and take many shots to kill.

This happens because their health, somehow, becomes negative.
They only turn blue if they are on red team; other teams yield other colors.
But the reason their colors change is because, for DGs and Virii, their hue is changed based on damage. DGs get dark, Virii fade. With wrong amounts of health, the hue changes in unintended ways. Observe for DG health -1:
This island is half red, half cyan. There is a definite line separating them, but you really can't tell from the screenshot.
These are all green team.
As are these, they've just been nuked.
I tested this behavior in Darwinia. I'm unable to post screenshots from that computer, but the color behavior is exactly the same.
But the real bug here is not the color changes: it's the fact that a virus's health can go below 0. I have no idea why it occurs, but I know it does. It still happens in Multiwinia, hence this bug report.
Shwart!!
