"failed to load locked.bmp"

Postby jackdinn » Sat Nov 01, 2008 12:11 am

I have trouble launching the game host list, and usually because of the above error message. Does anyone have a similar problem and, hopefully, fix?

If you got the retail game, in the Multiwinia folder in the start menu there should be a Repair shortcut. Try this.

If you're running on Steam, right click on Multiwinia in Steam and delete local content and redownload.

The repair link just launches the game as before. A reinstall helps, but the game will only run correctly once, then revert to the locked.bmp crash. Latest crash serial was b7da6f74.

This is very strange.

Which version do you have? (Retail or Steam)

I can do all that - It seems that running Multiwinia as an administrator in Vista lets it work, though.
