Hi..

I have 2 PC's... One is a quadcore with no issues whatsoever...

However I have a laptop I play on when I am away from home... Whilst it runs MW, it slows down a fair amount when things start happening... Whilst I realise its probably below the minimum spec, any advice on how to get the game running better would be appreciated. I can't change any hardware as I have no money... So any little fixes, editing of files, changing options etc would be appreciated..

I know there are some pretty clued up people here, so any tweaks at all would be great...

Well, for starters, you could set every setting in the game to lowest.

You could also set the priority of multiwinia.exe to 'High' (this can be done in task manager).

Close any background processes you can, disable visual themes and other fancyness in XP.

If you care enough, you could also disable some of the start-up services (Start -> Run -> services.msc, and Start -> Run -> msconfig).

I'm not in windows, and don't have access to the Multiwinia files, so I can't really give more advice than this at the moment. You could try looking into getting a low-overhead windows distribution, but as far as I know, most of these (if not all) can only be gotten through ... shady sources.

Already did the low options..

Will try the high priority and startup services...

If you can drop the resolution(haven't ever felt the need to myself), that usually gives about a 10-15% frame rate increase for most games. Running it at 800x600 in a window might help. And try dropping the sound quality to free up some CPU and memory space.
Also - yes, that is below the min spec. You're running what looks like a integrated graphics chip from the last generation to me - which is impressive, considering the graphical complexity used to create the lo-fi look.

I know this probably won't help but it sure as hell couldn't hurt. Update your drivers.

All right, I left my laptop at work for the family long weekend in a closed office and only 3 people have the key.My manager me and this girl that works with me.My manager did not have a work computer for me so he asked me to bring in my laptop should they reimburse me for it?And if they did would it be proper for them to reimburse me the full amount or the amount my laptop would be worth now?
