[D+ Feature] More lobby sounds

There's a beep when a player quits. That's nice. However, it would be even better if there also was a beep when a player joins or changes his ready status (within reason so ready toggle spam doesn't get annoying). Sometimes, you have to wait a couple of minutes for a game to fill, and it would be nice to be able to do something else without having to peer at the TV every couple of seconds to check on things.

I could have sworn I posted this same feature request during the original beta. I really hope that it happens at some point. :(

This isnt really a big deal for the PC version, with Dedwinia doing it through IM

Indeed. That must have been the context of the request---I asked Bert to implement it.

Really? I have that implemented in dedwinia? I honestly can't remember... On the PC, a beep isn't really that useful to me personally, because the other things I do while waiting for other players usually involve alt-tabbing away to other applications, which shuts down the sound. I just always leave enough of MW visible to see when someone joins.

I believe it says welcome to anyone joining, which causes the beep. I think.

That's the messages from the ladder, not anything we did for the specific purpose of alerting you when a new player enters.

Nonetheless, it's rather convenient when you don't alt-tab out, which you can't do on an Xbox.

Well, you can open the guide, which almost completely obscures the relevant lobby information in its bigger form.
