Request - one-press zoom-out for wider view?

Since the Xbox 360's left stick click has no use, could it be intuitively assigned as a pull-back/anti-zoom feature to get a quick overview of the action? Could this also be implemented as a key command (v for view? b for back? Not sure if it would be a bad idea to have it too close to c, which could lead to accidental program termination)?

To be honest, I completely dislike the thumbstick buttons on the XBox controller, they're one of the worst ideas ever I keep accidentally pressing them in the heat of battle and when you press them on puprose, you lose precision. I only learned about their existence because one of them was bound to "reset car" in one of the recent need for speeds, and I wondered why I was getting resetted so often without having done anything wrong.
