Empty crate: Nothing inside it.
Aegis: Research crates faster.
Vaccine: Cure any infected Multiwinians? (Like those with plague or Evilwinians. -- I'm talking a small selection area.)

Mega-winia: Grow a multiwinian to 200-500 times his size.

Breaking Wind: Select an area to push multiwinians across the map.

kamikaze: selected multiwinians will explode in xx seconds (can only be used on your own multiwinians)

Water-wings: Your multiwinians can cross water for a short amount of time.

MAD (Mutuality Assured Destruction) : use on a spawnpoint, if taken by an opponent it explodes killing anything in the area around the spawnpoints

And i totally agree that there needs to be a "bug bomb" crate.

Power-up ideas

Postby IronWill » Wed Sep 24, 2008 1:01 pm

Not thinking about "good" or "bad", I just wish my power ups can prove themselves as a source of new strategies :

- Temporary Black Hole Teleporter : you select an entry point and an exit point (on the ground). Everything that goes in will goes out. The hole must be large enough to swallow interesting amounts of troops nearby. This way you may send some troops (of yours or of your opponents, that sounds fun) in other battlefields !

Another variant would be able to set up a pair of radar comm towers instead of black holes. That would however have different gameplay consequences and so this could be another proposal.

- New formations : your officers can manage new kinds of formations (triangles, circles, spaced lines, ... there is a lot to do here).

- Use your grenades ! : all the MWs in the area will only use their grenades (or rockets)

However I also liked these ideas from other people :
- fake crate, sends a fake and bad crate onto targeted location
- giant DWian, transforms an amount of DWs into a giant one : the more they are on creation, the biggest is the giant
- kamikaze (see above)
- mass resurrection (a global one affecting every souls on battlefield)

Magical forest would make this epically fail.

Magical forest would make this a nice instant bonfire.
Fixed that for you :)

Firstly, randomiser.

Second, that does beg the question of whether or not the Magical Forests would still drop souls of teams that weren't playing in the first place? Wishful thinking leans towards no.

This sounds a lot like the portal powerup I had proposed on the first page:

Aperture contraption = Area select Multiniains to instantly move them from one place to the next. The longer the distance, the more likely it is that they'll end up on fire/zombied/Futurewinians. This works on crates also, to steal them (but they may disappear / explode on arrival, the longer the distance. Works on statues, but they might break).

Except there's an element of risk involved.

Give me rocket squad and not only the granade squad!!! As simple as that. :)

+1 for the fake crate you can choose where to launch! This idea is just GREAT :D

Another two ideas, how about a power-up that doubles the amount of Multiwinians allowed to be in the Armor and the amount of Multiwinian souls collected by the Engineers and Harvesters.

Also, how about a power-up that wipes everybody's power-ups from Tab. (Including your own.)
We're the same. Nuisances with nowhere to go.

Hmm, that one's interesting. How about "Restore from backup" for a name?

Well, actually, you could prolly extend on that a little bit more.

[Good?]: Wipe everyone's power-ups. (Including your own.)
[Good]: Wipe everyone's power-ups. (Excluding your own.)
[Bad]: Wipes your own power-ups. (Instant. Like a Futurewinians/Rocketwinians thing.)

I think just the first one would be best, since it would make choosing when to use it a strategic choice.

The second one is too good, and the third could be very bad, and I don't think they balance each other out.

How about instead of an instant wipe, a 5-10 second countdown until a wipe, causing people to frantically use all their saved up powerups

That seems reasonable.
