I think it would work against players like you and neatnit tho, you know really thick would describe you guys quite well

Well, yeah if you wanted to use that against CPU's then sure, it shouldn't be too hard to pull off. But you still have the issue of whether or not you actually have the power-up at the right moment, or if you even get a shield power-up at all.
