If you lose the chronometer release pool, you can just go back in time and guess the correct date.
Hmmm.... :? Because of this you might need to add a few more rules for that comp.

Also, shouldn't there be a subversion release pool first?

We honestly don't know, and I imagine that puts us in a better than IV, who likely need to work that one out.

Have IV ever actually confirmed that chronometer has anything to do with time travel? it seems likely but everyone seems to be taking it as fact :/

Well, Seven Minutes has already been done and isn't a "... fuck me" project.

[size=0]Allow me to insert more random speculation. It's funny. [/size]Maybe it is time travel, but not in its strictest sense. Maybe the chronometer belonged to many people over time and their deeds were simply not considered in chronological order... Combine that with Chris' apparent love for procedural content, and something might be getting interesting.

That's different to The Butterfly Effect: The Game, right?

I think it about making watches. Swiss time pieces, 80's digital Casio watches etc....

I'm hoping it's not a game, but a program that allows you at any time to put the computer into the state it was in say.. 13 seconds ago.
Sounds silly, but here are some uses:

+ Aaagh, that file had a virus in it... just as well i never downloaded it.
+ I just got hacked in uplink!!!! ... Better cover my tracks this time.

It would have it's uses, but would probably require a supercomputer to work

NO! I didn't mean that! It would be a dark day when any company like IV gets inspiration from microsoft.

I was thinking of the Omega 13 from the movie Galaxy Quest when I wrote that.


Anyway, I dont think that anything that anyone has said would have stunned Mark to the point where he coudn't eat his KFC. Whatever it is, it will be good.
