Has version 1.9.41 been officially released?

Today I was testing Wine (Running windows apps on Linux / Mac OS) and I was updated to version 1.9.41 of the game.

The following files were placed in my home directory:

-rw-r--r-- 1 6352 2009-12-29 15:30 ambx.dat
-rwxr-xr-x 1 626688 2009-12-29 15:30 autopatch.exe
-rwxr-xr-x 1 233472 2009-12-29 15:30 copy_assist.exe
-rw-r--r-- 1 1030144 2009-12-29 15:30 dbghelp.dll
-rw-r--r-- 1 63590 2009-12-29 15:29 init.dat
-rw-r--r-- 1 241914 2009-12-29 15:30 language.dat
-rw-r--r-- 1 7386177 2009-12-29 15:30 main.dat
-rw-r--r-- 1 1458734 2009-12-29 15:30 manual.pdf
-rw-r--r-- 1 4859150 2009-12-29 15:30 menusounds.dat
-rwxr-xr-x 1 3391488 2009-12-29 15:30 multiwinia.exe
-rwxr-xr-x 1 311296 2009-12-29 15:29 MultiwiniaSupport.exe
-rw-r--r-- 1 513 2009-12-29 15:30 MultiwiniaSupport.ini
-rwxr-xr-x 1 49152 2009-12-29 15:30 ProfileLocator.exe
-rw-r--r-- 1 22464 2009-12-29 15:30 sounds2.dat
-rw-r--r-- 1 35732998 2009-12-29 15:30 sounds.dat
-rw-r--r-- 1 6 2009-12-29 15:30 version

Although the new version has additional features, I cannot connect to anyone else.

Should I re-install Multiwinia version 1.3.0 or just wait?

Thanks in advance

No, it's not an officially released version. This happens from time to time, nobody knows why. Running the autoupdater again at a later time usually 'fixes' the problem. Of course, you may want to keep the new version for toying around with it, but yeah, you won't be able to play with other people using it.

Features? Don't know what you mean. However if you want the best of both versions i _suppose_ you could just install another copy of multiwinia to a different directory. (actually that might not work but whatever)

It works, I have MW installed about 3 times and it all works.

They all use the same profile directory, though. It doesn't cause any problems, but I thought I'd say they aren't completely independent.

Thanks for the replies. I now understand why the auto patcher wants to download 1.9.41

(Since I cannot view that part of the forum, I made a comparison of what changed between
my last good backup and the time the issue occurred, at least it will not be difficult to roll out
the update once its ready  )

I have gone back to the old version and looking forwards to the release!

Oh damn, it appears that Introversion has picked up another loyal customer. How do they do it? :P

Magical pixie dust each Multiwinian keeps stashed.
