Sheesh, you think you got problems? I'm down 3! Funniest damn CTS match I ever saw last night, went to sudden death and got swung by a very pesky turret about 2 minutes over time.

What actually decided that game was your insistence to carry statue after statue through enemy occupied territory when you were in the lead with the statue spawn point secured.

Sorry for the double post, but browsing my groupmates' games, I noticed these two don't appear in the match summary yet:

Should have binned them, eh... Funny how that never occured to me! I also wasted an airstrike that could have helped me to blag one of his spawns if I'd killed the turret he'd placed there instead of flailing at his territory with it.

My hats off to garnan, he/she absolutely wiped me off the map both games. Well done!

You should mention the scoring method for each mode. I assume that it will be the default, but it's probably best to mention it.

Just to say, I've been horrendously busy this past week, and am now into a bit of a lull, so will be able to play in the evenings from now. On the plus side, there's now a chance I may be able to graduate this year

Two damned good games with MikeTheWookiee.

Now if I can just work out why Nux is floating around on Multiwinia and not responding to the challenge I sent however long ago...

Same here, this Nux character appears to be playing on the main page, but not actually responding to challenges / anything. Is it someone in disguise who doesn't wish to break cover?

They were certainly two good close games - haven't had one go into extra time for a while!

Finally, I demand a booby prize for the worst player, since I expect it to be me! :P

am I eliminated?

Postby tiro » Mon May 25, 2009 6:04 am

I tried to play my matches. I practiced on the server. I challenged my opponents and gave them my email address. I waited. Never saw any of them playing on the servers. Never heard back. Am I eliminated?

What happens in the two final stages? What, the same people compete twice?

It's unclear from the image, but I would imagine that the two losers of the semifinal matches play for 3rd place, and the two winners play for 1st place.

communication regarding tournament match scheduling

Postby tiro » Mon May 25, 2009 7:48 pm

"Groups A and H went without matches until yesterday, so I sent an e-mail to all members of those groups saying that anyone who still wanted to play had to report to me and I would select people based on activity."

I didn't get this email, and I'm wondering if anyone else did.

Also, I think part of the reason I couldn't contact my group opponents was that I had "Mail notification on comment on challenge" turned off (default?) and didn't know it. One of my opponents did reply to a challenge (using the comment feature), but for some reason didn't use the email address I gave him (and I never happened to see him on the servers). Even though I was on the ladder site regularly, new notifications aren't completely obvious.
