The Ladder sends emails when someone challenges or replies to your challenge message, so exchanging emails seems to just make things more complicated.
I'm not sure if that is an option on the site and you have to turn it on, or if it's default behavior.

BUG: basic crates only was not enabled on my match with Phelanpt. I'd like to blame my loss on that, but fact is, the Futurewinians that appeared would have helped me, so bummer.

Jelco, me and bert were playing our tournament match when one of the crates(I think mine) spawned Futurewinians. I think it was match server #57.
Link to match.

Actually, bert had told me he posted before I did myself. But thanks for that informative addition to this thread. :P

Is there anyway to maybe bump the tournament servers up to two?

Well true, I don't see it as a necessity. Just curious to if it does get overwhelmed.

Silly question: What are the advantages of the current scoring system?

It's 1 point for a win, -1 point for a defeat. Why?
Now we have several people that despite having played, and even won, games are still tied with people who haven't even played.
Given that sudden death is on (meaning no ties), wouldn't it make more sense to be 1 point for win and 0 otherwise? That way the player's score would be equivalent to their number of wins, which seems fairer than having folk who sit out to be tied for first place.

True. I'd even go as far as to award 3 points for two wins against the same person, basically turning the two games each pair has to play into one with standard Football World Cup group phase scores. But I guess it all depends on what the policy is later in the end when it turns out some games will never get played for various reasons.

Oh, I temporarily switched my Duel server over to mirror the tournament settings and the maps currently in play, it's now called "Tournament Practice". Have fun, and report if things aren't right.

Heh, weird. I challenged someone (first time :P) and I got an email saying "You have been challenged!". I believe that, if it should be sent at all, it should say I've been challenged when I was the one challenging.

How come no one reported this? Or they did, and you just didn't bother because it's too minor?

Thanks bert! :)

And NeatNit is right, the same happened to me. Maybe change the wording to "You have a challenge pending" or something like it?

Just note the everyone in my group I won't be able to do any matches until next weekend. If this is a problem then Jelco can consider it an automatic loss.

I was just about to post that I probably won't be able to play a match until Saturday. Silly exams. :(
