How can the Master Player Achievement be unlocked?

Master Player
Defeat someone who is already a Master Player
How can this be unlocked, as you need to gain it by defeating another Master Player, but they would need to defeat another Master Player to get it? So how did this all start off?
Or am I right in thinking its impossible, its one of those which came first? the Chicken or the Egg?

Which passed on first to me and a few other beta testers, which then spread it to the general populace. Last time I checked it was pretty hard to find a Steam player that did not have the achievement.

Yeah, the first time a friend played on steam, he unlocked the achievement. Not as hard as it's meant to be :p

It basically means just beat someone to get it... at least, i won it in a 1 vs 1 match.

I like achievements that work in this way, I think there's one in Left4Dead too. They always spread around very rapidly.

I just need to beat someone who has it then.
But I like playing in demo servers too much nagging them to buy the full game

You could attempt to multibox to haxx0r your way into getting all the achievements, but really, it ain't worth it. It takes the fun out of doing it.

Exactly. Doesn't count or is worth it if you already have it though.
