Man, deals like this are lame. I've been wanting to buy Multiwinia for a while now. Knowing that I could have gotten Darwinia as a free bonus if I had visited this forum yesterday sucks...
Edit: Maybe this came across slightly more negative than I meant. I'm just mad at myself for missing such a sweet deal, really...

Oh, bitch, moan, complain. Get over it. You paid a price for Darwinia that you thought was fair. Furthermore, IV and Valve have taken nothing from you by selling cheaper copies. I understand the psychological reasoning behind your argument, but grow up. It doesn't matter.

Fun fact!
The Steam version of multiwinia runs fine without steam. So really, you lose nothing compared to buying it from anywhere else, and gain plenty (steam chat, ability to redownload the game anywhere any time[unless IV does this too, which would be awesome])

And the Steam overlay, hence Steam chat, works for games added manually as a shortcut to the Steam 'My games' list, so really all you're missing out on are achievements (which I find weird and Skinnerian and am happy to 'miss out' on) while gaining the opportunity both to own either a boxed or fancy limited edition copy and to support the developers.
