Thinking about getting an Acer Aspire One... or MSI Wind..
Just wondering if anyones managed to get MW working on any Netbook?
Anyone got MW running on a Netbook?

I would guess that it would run on XP with low visual settings (the screen resolution is quite low on netbooks, but the graphics hardware might not cope with high detail - I have a decent desktop-replacement-laptop but everything is set to "low" for battery-powered use...).
I am planning on getting an Eee 901 and installing Ubuntu as soon as Intrepid is out at the end of Oct (it allegedly supports all Eee hardware out of the box), then one day there will be MW on Linux.
Defcon ended up having a repository package set up pretty swiftly, might be best to wait and see?

Well, I have a P4 2.0, and I know shinygerbil has an Athlon 2000+ (they're supposed to be equivalent), and it works (just abouts) on those. Note that 2GHz is the stated min spec (from IV). With 4 players it pretty much grinds to a halt as soon as it gets complicated / ants come out. Personally, this happens whatever graphics settings I use, although lower detail obviously improves matters slightly.
I have no idea what graphics those machines have, but am in no doubt that it ain't as powerful as my 6800. The good news is that the 6800 is more than up to the task of running Multiwinia in any detail you care to specify. The guy with the Via 64MB card is probably around the limit of playability imo.
Short answer: it ain't happening, not until netbooks get about 2-3x as powerful.

I've got it running on my EeePC. Albeit bloody slow and not suitable for full gaming.
