Just got my boxed copy

Postby mehoo462 » Fri Sep 26, 2008 9:58 pm

I want to say Introversion deserves a round of applause. I just got my boxed copy today (standard, not collectors edition).

It's a nice DVD case, with a CD and a nice manual. I've spent $50 on titles that came in stupid cardboard boxes with the cds wrapped in paper envelopes. There was no manual, but the box was packed full of marketing material for the producer or worse, completely unrelated products.

Every aspect of the IV Customer Experience is top-notch. The support, the community interaction, the post-release updates, the packaging. The game is stable and runs reliably an many systems. The netcode seems pretty robust.

It doesn't hurt that the game is brilliant either.

I'm usually not a fan of these kiss ass "dev appreciation threads." But I'm a long time gaming enthusiast and have been following your company closely since Uplink. I have tremendous respect for your work. I own boxed copies of all your titles. And this time you've made such an impression that I feel like I need to speak up and say something about it.

You are a class act. Where do I go to pre-order subversion?

Congratulations!!

So long as IV continues to defy the mainstream gaming market by kick-ass simple games that are incredibly fun to play, they will always have my respect.

Multiwinia and Defcon are strong examples of how IV can make games fun again without cramming them full of graphic chug.
