is there going to be any support to host your own dedicated server at all?

yah I also want to know about this. It will decide whether it will lag or not in game.

I'm expecting that the networking / server model of this game will be almost identical to Defcon, which as far as I know doesn't do dedicated servers. That being said, why would you need a dedicated server anyway? The netcode and such should be light enough that it isn't needed and Multiwinia probably doesn't lend itself well to a dedicated server model anyway.

There has been a dedicated server for Defcon for a long time (3rd party) and is used by most regular players.

Something similar for MW would not be unexpected...
