how is the game when play in internet?

Postby gerbercage » Thu Sep 11, 2008 7:43 am

Will it very lag if me play with other people at stay in US/EU while me at Asia.
I had play other online game which connect to US/EU server before, most of the time my ping to there will be 300++
so I want to know will it very lag/delay if I buy this game and play at internet? (I think there are large of player base at US/EU only, Asia will not have enough player for this game.)

actually it depends on your internnet connection and how you computer handles the game. if you have a bad ass rig but you got a 56kbps intenet connection well you'll be pulling your hair out. But if you got a fast connection well you wouldn't have any problem at all as long as you got a capable machine.

only thing i could tell you is download the demo and try it yourself and considering players we got a wide range of players as far as down under to china and seems like there not complaining a bit as far as i can tell.

I don't know if the demo will allow online play.

EDIT: Also, NDA.

It probably will, but only on 1 or 2 maps. Just enough to get you 110% addicted.\

Edit: I'm suprised the phrase 'NDA' hasn't been used yet.

Well, basically [redacted to meet the requirements of the NDA] and [redacted to meet the requirements of the NDA]. But if you don't [redacted to meet the requirements of the NDA] or [redacted to meet the requirements of the NDA], or if you don't have an [redacted to meet the requirements of the NDA], then you are really going to [redacted to meet the requirements of the NDA]. At any rate, I hope that [redacted to meet the requirements of the NDA].

I agree, but I will add that Multiwinia like every other good game on the planet still doesn't have a built in way of getting around a schools proxy server.

People could also realize it's pointless to ask questions that can only be answered by violating the NDA (or IV itself). Of course, it's always different people asking, so I'm not holding my breath for that :)

Hmm...as the NDA is part of the beta I wonder if telling folk about the NDA actually violates the NDA :?:

No, because you can read it when you think about applying to beta test, and can reject it :)

Because we're beta testers and may possibly have experience with conditions as you describe, but we're not allowed to talk about it. Ask again in a week and a half or so when we can pretend to have the information from post-release games.

Will the game lag if you are in the other side of the planet to me, and I am hosting the game? That depends on your connection, the transit to my country, my connection, my pc.

In other words, will it lag? Maybe.

Seriously common sense would answer that question if you thought about it for more then a second.......

I can't believe this kind of experience cannot talk. I though those NDA are only about the detail of gameplay such as got what unit, what ability and so on.
Then never mind, I just wait a week and see. Actually I want to pre-order it but just want to make sure I will able to play eh game without much laggy problem due most of the time will play with those US and EU player.
I had play some other game which have some lag due to most of the player that I played are from US/EU. (eg. saveage 2) but some game will smooth(eg. poxnora)

I don't know what you want to talk about it. Seem that you think I am asking stupid question but this multiwinia is focus on multiplayer on internet, I have to make sure it can run smooth from my side to most of the player so that I can play it. If most of the time it is laggy and I can't take play the game smoothly it will hard for me to buy he "multiplayer" game. It will hard for me to find the player that non-US/EU to play.

It is bad that when people give this kind of answer to new joiner at here.
