Actually, from very recent experience, I would say it's 42 posts. When I reached that number I was momentarily praised by the people on these forums. Then I posted again.

Also, I reckon that a veteran would have at least 1764 posts in total.

Here's how it should be:
This is a board. We have five of them (Uplink, Darwinia, IV Forum, Defcon, Multiwinia)
Each board has many fora.
This is the General Forum.

However, call each a forum and people will generally understand you
