1) In the past, beta testers have been "given" the game at the end of the beta. Either their beta key was never revoked (like Defcon), or the beta continued to play normally,

What what what? Why did I not know this!? :p:

This tends to be my approach as well...

Though I doubt I'll be able to buy the Multiwinia special edition... $70 (after shipping to USA) is just too rich for my budget.

Introversion... How about I become your US distributor and save some Americans some money?

It costs the same in the US as it does in the UK...

Don't forget, in America, they're used to paying a lot less for games than we do.

Well, as soon as I can raise 20 more $$s, I'll be pre-ordering the awesome set.

I was under the impression that the beta would be terminated, and the beta copies would cease to function.
It's nice to know that I won't (probably) need to buy another copy for my brother to use- I can use the beta, and he the awesome pre-ordered version.
I still will probably be purchasing another copy, though... eventually *cough*ihavenojobormoney*cough*

Anyway, this is welcome news indeed.

xander, please don't misconstrue this post as the ramblings of a whiney bitch...

EDIT: Got the order completed. WOOT!
Order # 215.

This is why I love forums. And why I vanish from them for months at a time.

I've heard it gets a lot easier once you've reached 20 posts onwards. :P

We don't like change, see. But once we realise you're in it for the long term, we give up fighting.

Interesting point - I hadn't noticed just how few posts I had.

Odd how threads from the Defcon & Darwinia forum aren't counting on this board, so the Multiwinia post number ignores some less whiney, less entitled posts from elsewhere.

(I know, I know, stop whining, I get it...)

Now I don't know which to work on first, my newbie post count or my newly found troll status. In about 3 weeks we can all just enjoy the finished game, and the forums will be full of love again.
