Worked fine in Wine for me (can't remember what tweaks I've done to it for other games) Bit sluggish when the action hots up though

looking forward to the native version

Any news about the Linux client?
Oh and just let me add that I'll definitely buy it if there is a native Linux client.
But I'll definitely won't buy a Windows version just to play it through WINE.

No news. My guess is that they'll get the patches out with the map transfer system, and once that's all done the porting will begin.

Watch yourself -- sysrq is far cooler than you will ever be.

Alas! Foiled!
Also, hope you are feeling better. Man points for it being caught from one of
two girls. What a night that must have been!

One of two girls suspected, more than two total

So? Now try to port a complete and complex game, gather some testers (I'm sure a post with "<NDA>" will get posted now, because someone wants to show off he's an official MW on Linux tester) and do a port in just three weeks.
Most of the libraries aren't in their Windows form available for Linux (WinAPI). The whole Direct* infrastructure isn't available. I don't know, but I think most of the network parts have to be rewritten as well.
All that work for maybe 30 people?
(Okay, okay, I'll be honest - the MW demo doesn't work with wine for me. Don't ask about the full game - I don't own it. I would be really happy about a port but we're a lot less people than all the Windows users out there)

I know. But I wanted to point out that a port isn't done in a few days. It's massive work and usually has low priority. But thank you Introversion for doing the existing ports and (hopefully) the port of Multiwinia.
