I'm so effing confused...

Are we or are we not discussing a Brit who thought "colour" was misspelled as "color?" 'Cause that's what I got from it, and it's pretty damn funny.

Usually it's us "ignorant Americans" commenting on the opposite mix-up... but not this time, b*ches! ;) ;) ;)

No, we're discussing a man (who may or may not be British, but probably isn't) who intentionally joked that "colour" should be spelled "color" as a response to xyzyxx's statement that people often complain about the opposite.

Any further facepalms or corrections will just make people look like snobby Grammar Nazis.

I don't know about you but I'm quite enjoying the new Subversion Beta Testing subforum. Apparently it can only been seen if you're a selected beta tester though.

You really need to stop misleading people. It's still only a stable alpha and they're bringing in select Let's Players from YouTube to various abandonned warehouses that they're squatting in to test it.

Seems quite subversion style, I like it.

And at least something would be happening :)

I believe that me being Canadian, and not being too ignorant as to the regional differences of the spelling of certain words (including, but not limited to colour also being spelled as color) effects this situation as I can rightfully say that I couldn't really care less whether a person spells it as colour, or color.
I myself spell it as colour when writing a letter or documentation, but spell it as color when doing coding for a program.
Just as I spell armour as such, whereas others might spell it as armor.
Neighbour, neighbor.
Etcetera.

On-topic...
I want this game.
Now.
But I, and many others, must wait...

Partially on-topic, via my on-topic post...
I hope Portal 2 and Duke Nukem Forever can tide me over until Subversion is released...

That's fairly common to happen with programmers in England, as every use of colour in programming is spelt wrong

Do you get to be in the beta testing if you own all their games for Linux? I only use Linux so I have all of those games. :)

If I did beta test, could it be something I put on a collegiate resume?
