As a gamer, it is fun and exciting to see great games on multiple platforms that can be enjoyed by more gamers. If only one person requested that Introversion's games be published on Desura, it would never happen. If a thousand requested, then it may happen. So please let the human beings and the gamers be happy.DinoSteve wrote:As a human being, it is boring and annoying to see the same sentiment, no matter how valid it is, being regurgitated over and over again.
Announcing the Humble Introversion Bundle
I'm gonna have to side with them on this one. I've never used linux but it's true that the more of them asking the same thing, the more likely it is to happen.DinoSteve wrote:As a human being, it is boring and annoying to see the same sentiment, no matter how valid it is, being regurgitated over and over again.

Ban 'em all, and let MCP sort 'em out.

A few of us have also posted in the Desura forum / client but it seems relevent to post here also and bring it to the developers attention - it's gotta be pretty cool that a group of people are getting together and requesting support for their preferred client in a structured & organised way, so they can play & install the games they enjoy in the manner they prefer? It's even gotta be some positive press for Introversion if they decide to support Desura - surely it's not harder to implement (with the relevant support) than the actual writing of multi-platform games in the first place? With the release of the Humble Intoversion Bundle the Introversion fan community must be due a bit of a growth spurt - why not take steps to support the community as a whole, new & old, in every way possible?
+1 for Desura support (and it's pretty cool of Introversion for supporting Linux in the first place, much respect ).
I was originally registered with this forum since around the release of Darwinia, but lost my old username thanks I guess to an aging memory ;p
Someone posted a link to this thread over at the Desura forums, so that's probably why there's so many Desura users registering and posting here. It's similar to how you always get a bunch of people asking for a Steam version whenever a game isn't available there. Desura's pretty much the Steam for Linux.
Anyway, I don't think spamming about it here is likely to help. Registering interest is one thing, but derailing threads like this isn't the way to do it. It reads more like spam, and paints Desura in a bad light.
