Your posts are the first in this long line of Desura-mentioning posts that I didn't read looking for evidence it wasn't spam. Why did I (and others) do so for the others? Because they seem replicas of each other.
We understand the sentiment, but +1-posts never really worked (especially not when the thing being +1ed is basically a topic hijack). At least if some arguments were being given and an attempt to convince was being made, you could label this a proper discussion but instead it's more like a bunch of people shouting "we're with many, we should be heard". Posting here is not going to magically get people to take you seriously, listen to your ideas or even get people to care that you have anything to say - if you want to make a statement a little more effort is always appreciated. Especially around here.
So to be clear, this has absolutely nothing to do with the message you're all trying to bring across. Just the terrible way it's being presented.

Is making a request related to the Humble Introversion Bundle in this thread a topic hijack? It seems like a logical location to me. Also, there have been reasons stated for the Desura request. Granted some may only be opinion, but not all the posts are +1. Perhaps many of us are not familiar with the community in this forum, but it's not like the requests are rude or demanding. The Humble Bundles are very popular, and Desura is gaining in popularity. Two of the Introversion games are already on the Ubuntu store, so it doesn't seem like an outrageous request for Desura support. I'm fairly certain if this current bundle didn't have Steam keys included, there would be a lot more people "hijacking" this thread.
Some reasons then?
Steam supports the Windows and Mac versions. Desura can support the Windows and Linux versions.
Desura is distribution agnostic. The Ubuntu store only supports Ubuntu.
Some posts here stated they would buy the bundle, or increase the paid amount if Desura was included.
Almost all bundle titles supported Steam and Desura. Those of us that have purchased all the bundles might like to continue that trend. (opinion)
Publishing the Introversion catalog on Desura could help increase sales. (opinion)
The Humble Bundles get a lot of traffic. Making the decision to publish through Desura during the current bundle could draw some positive attention to Introversion. (opinion)
So some of the reasons may just be my opinion, but that does not mean those statements couldn't also be true. I chose to post in this thread since my request was directly related to the bundle, and that adding Desura could possibly increase sales for Introversion. Take a look at the stats, Linux buyers are in second for total dollars, and also pay the highest per buyer on average. If the bundle sale was over, I would have started a new thread or sent an email.
To those that feel this was a derail or hijack, it was not my intent at all.
Regardless of Desura support, I am glad that I purchased the current bundle, and I am looking forward to playing the games that I have wanted to try for a while now. Am now also aware of Introversion's next game.
