I dunno, it just seems like it has too many syllables, or doesn't roll of the tongue... binaural quantization suffers the same issues. Some of the thesaurus spins on it suffer the same problems, however most just make no sense at all; double mixture, twofold choice, etc
I did happen across a relatively pleasing alternative; Dual duel - implying simply, binary fight, being put forwards here simply as as an amusing name (like Juregen).

I posted the reasons for my selections...
With the second, I wanted a one-word something that relates to "Darwinia", yet has some relevance to what the game was about. Obviously, Multiwinia is no longer really "survival of the fittest", since the evolutionary war between DG and virus is over.
So is it an evolutionary battle between DGs, then? Or is it a war between DGs based on another principle? Have governments been introduced to Darwinia, and are they (like us), starting to have ideological differences?
Or is this all too much thinking, and Multiwinia is just a game with no back story- just DG v DG in senseless battle for no reason?
Whatever the case, a one-word solution is probably the best. All over Introversion titles are one-word and simple to remember. Also they are uncommon names, DEFCON being the only one (I think) that everyone hears about, but associates with danger.

possible idea
Here's one.
Darwinia: Origins
Includes reference to the original title, plus the word origins has lots of implied meanings which relate to the game. Snipped from wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Origin
* Origin (start), the beginning, starting-point, cause, or ultimate source, from which a thing is derived
* Origin belief, the account, often in narrative form, that describes how existence, the universe, life, and humanity came to be
* Origin (mathematics), the point where the coordinate axis of the system intersect
* Origin of life, scientific theories and speculation on the beginning of life
* Origin of a muscle, the attachment of a muscle to a non-moving bone or other structure.
* Origin of replication, is the location at which DNA replication is initiated
* Human origin, scientific understanding of the origin of humanity
* Origin of the universe, also known as the "Big Bang"
* The Origin of Species, Charles Darwin's 1859 book
* Origin story, in comic books, describing how a character gained their special abilities and/or how they became a superhero or supervillain
In story telling, it invokes a kind of mythological battle before time. So you've got conflict, a possible prequel story tie-in, mathematics reference to the coordinate system (which is quite prevalent in the game's graphic style), and its main use is in reference to evolution and replication. All in one little word.

Some people talk because they have something to say. Others talk because they have to say something.
I still think Darwinia: The Internet Wars is a great title and also gives you great story
after the red virus the Darwinia's are hungry for knowledge and they can only get it on the internet.
long story short the program goes rampant and spreads to other computers (much like an ant colony) these colony's then could fight for control over the knowledge and resources of the net. (of course there has been massive evolution of Darwinians as individuals).

actually that's quite good.
GENERATION 22:The first time you see this, copy it into your sig on any forum and add 1 to the generation. Social experiment.
Well, after reading the post about the fluffwinians/protowinians, and thinking about how Darwinia was the defining moment of the Darwinian culture/civilization, maybe the name should reflect that atmosphere. I don't know if there will be any type of plot or if the game will be straight up DG killing, but perhaps a name like "Aftermath" or "Epilogue".
