It is not Uplink 2.

Just like real life.....
I would like to put a wager on guessing what subversion will be..
I think it will be a corporate espionage game with similarities to films like Cypher and Max Headroom.
You will probably have to get agents into enemy corporations to undermine there activity. Perhaps hijack shipments and steal documents. I think a big part of the game will be moving your agents around to find secret documents/plant bugs without them getting court... you will have to capture enemy agents in your own buildings by investing in security guard/scanners/security doors etc. You will use your agents to get a competitive advantage over your corporate enemies.
What leads me to this conclusion... well the early screens of office layout remind me of the scene from Max Headroom where he has to escape a tower block guided by his colleague who has a schematic of the building on her computer. Secondly it would fit in well with introversions other games.
anyway if I'm wrong I'll make this game myself because it would be too cool...

awesome!

Whoever you vote for, the government wins.

Well, no, but comments have indicated that Subversion is going to be somewhat a blend of the previous three games (UpDefWinia!). I just have a feeling that IV may be very much going back to their roots with this game. Although it'll be far from Uplink 2, I wouldn't be suprised if it had elements of corporate espionage and hacking in it (which is what most people seem to be suggesting for the theme - I can't remember if at this stage that much has been states or if it's purely conjecture)
