If IV makes Starcraft 2, then the world will burst into flames from having discovered the perfect game. The question is- is that a worthy price to pay?

I wondered when "Cubicle Tycoon" would be coming out.

From what the screenshots show, you guys are experimenting with an office setting. What cult film or novel are you drawing from now? Dare I name Office Space?

Seriously, though, I can't wait until you guys announce more details and tell us all vaguely what style of game we're looking at.

revelation has been unleashed. the internet is now gone (or most of it is) what's left of the world other than disfunctional workplaces? perhaps we'll have to bring the internet back? (starting out small, just a few computers linked together) oh and you'll need chairs... or else your fatigue goes up... you'll get tired and fail. (when was the last time you STOOD at a computer for several hours straight?

It looks a bit like Office Guerilla Warfare. You send your horde of into the office enviroment to procure supplies, such as biros, staplers, wheelie office chairs and brooms to joust with. Then you look round on your victorious battlefield, your fallen foes writhing in pain with their eyelids stapled into their retinas.

I think you guys are focusing too much on the chairs -- they are a red herring. Instead, look at the dead body in the upper right-hand corner of the screenshots. What does it mean?!

I think the fact that it's named after a version control system is significant.

That's a dead body? I thought it was someone hanging upsidedown from a bar or ledge whilst firing a pistol.

everything seems to be dead on the background... perhaps subversion is some kind of lab where you do experiments on animals and eventually people? that kinda goes well with the sim look of that window... you can move the chairs and stuff around and see what the reaction is. then you can use the buttons on the side to report your findings.

I'll ask again.

What the hell does a red herring mean here in the IV community?

Questions?

I believe it means the same that everywhere else.

Wikipedia wrote:-a type of logical fallacy in which one purports to prove one's point by means of irrelevant arguments (see Ignoratio elenchi).
-in literature, a plot device intended to distract the reader from a more important event in the plot, usually a twist ending. See also MacGuffin.
