Assistance with Writing a Personal Statement for Admission to the History Faculty

Postby Jebrakas » Sat Aug 26, 2023 1:33 pm

Hello, guys! I've come across a little dilemma. I'm planning to apply to the history faculty, and I need to write a personal statement. I admit that I'm not very good at writing, so I'm reaching out to you for help. How did you write your statements? What key points are better to highlight? How can I stay on track and not deviate from the topic? I'll be grateful for any advice and insights!

Hey there! Of course, I understand how challenging this can be. It's crucial to start with a strong introduction where you explain why history specifically appeals to you. Then, you can share your achievements and experiences related to history. Showing your genuine passion is important. If needed, I can provide examples from my own statement. As for bringing everything together to ensure you don't miss any important points, that's a puzzle for me as well.

Thanks for the pointers! It would be awesome if you could share examples from your statement. And indeed, assembling all the important aspects into one cohesive statement is quite a task.

Absolutely, buddy! Here's an introductory example: "Since childhood, I've dreamed of unraveling the mysteries of the past, immersing myself in historical events as if in a captivating novel." After that, you can talk about projects, research, or books that left a significant impression on you. And in the end, whether I'll solve the puzzle myself or seek help – that's the question. By the way, I recently used fellowshippersonalstatements.com for writing a fellowship personal statement. Their approach is really impressive: they identify the strongest aspects and articulate them in a way that even I was amazed by my own experience. They met the deadlines, and the prices were reasonable. Overall, I recommend giving it a try!
