Prison Architect similar to Hill Street Blues game.

Postby Bowdon » Tue Feb 10, 2015 2:18 pm

Hi all,

I recently bought Prison Architect, and I'm still enjoying and getting used to it.

One of the first things I noticed is how similar in idea it is to the 1991 "Hill Street Blues" game, based on the tv series. Managing and working from a god-like view. In HSB game you controlled a police force and had to go out and arrest suspects, and sometimes random crimes would happen. You could control officers, police vehicles etc. I remember you had to escort criminals back to a precinct, and I think you could get them to court as well. Also I remember all the traffic rules were obey'ed too. It was a very advanced game in its day, though did suffer from flaws which a lot of the critics at the time picked up on.

I'd ask the developers at introvision to get ahold of a copy of the game, especially if they are thinking of a similar future ideas. It's pretty good.

Anyways, keep up the good work! :)

P.S.
