whats the best feed for egg laying ducks?

Postby Dantesinferno » Mon Apr 08, 2013 3:52 pm

I have some ducks but they wont lay eggs - yeah i checked they were female - but a pal said i have to give em special food with added silica like chickens.

Anyone know about special duck feeds or is chicken feed good enough?

What are you feeding them at the moment?

According to Vivian Head's "Keeping Chickens and Other Poultry" if duck eggs are a priority then layer's mash or pellets are your best bet (page 122).
