What does inhaling an e cigarette taste like?

The place to hang out and talk about totally anything general.

If you wanted to give up smoking would you use pure willpower or take a little help?

What you need is Alan Carr's 'The Only Way to Quit Smoking'. Of course, he's dead now. Lung cancer.

But, I quit successfully - no will power, no cravings, no desire to smoke again years after.

The question and poll question do not match.

Apologies...

Basically, I'm looking to try an e-cigarette in an attempt to give up and would like some advice from those who have tried them.

However, the poll was more out of interest than anything else to see whether people simply use will power to give up or need the aid of things like patches, gum or e-cigarettes.

Hope that makes sense.

I think I've gone slightly astray with the poll...

Basically, I just wanted to hear from people who have actually tried e-cigarettes and get an idea of what they tasted like.

I didn't really want to just purchase without getting some feedback. However, I have noticed one variety in a couple of supermarkets - http://www.vapestick.co.uk/vapestick-classic-e-cig.html... and it occurred to me that if they're selling them in places like Tesco's etc. they got to be pretty decent, right?

Apologies for the confusion caused!

I have an E cig and they taste pretty decent. They also have different flavors and if you've ever smoked hookah before its similar.

As a smoker, i have tried e cigarettes. Before I go on I will note this was simply out of curiousity and without any real desire to give up. They actually do help quite a lot to take the edge off cravings, and replacing the act of smoking with something very similar does help with the oral and fidgeting aspects of the habit.

As for how they taste, they don't really taste of anything. Its quite a mild, chemical taste and it will remind of you nicotene. Not unpleasant though. Taking a drag on one in no way really replaces the feeling of smoking. The smoke simply isnt dense enough and lacks some of the other chemicals ciggies contain.

I would imagine they will help if you are serious about weening yourself off cigarettes. I can't speak as to how they measure up against inhalers, but they do seem a lot less ridiculous. Even cool in a silly, 'look, I charge up my cigarette via usb and smoke harmless vapours, kind of way'. Welcome to 2013. It's not a flying car, but you can't have everything.

It's okay; They still have two years to make flying cars, self-tying shoes, self-drying speaking clothes, and holographic ads all standard in our everyday life.

I think you need both. First for willpower you can take help other think like E Cigarette. When you find you have stop smoking real Cigarette or you not need Cigarette then you can try to quite e cigarette if it is not possible then and also you don't need to worry. Because it is not harm you and your mother.
