That could be taken as "because they'll do it before then", depending on how you define "the coming year".

yeah, i got it in that way. i still think the war is going to start next month and i don`t believe to see a 30 day war.
a small hightech army against a really big religious army. i see only one way for Israel. to use EMP bomb to knock out all defences and then bomb nuclear buildings. after that, Iran, Syria, Hamas and Hezbollah will try to hit back with all.
how to defend a few thousands missiles at the same time on a small country?maybe Israel will use more than 1 EMP to stop that. the missiles still have a function after EMP? i guess the Iranians aren`t so stupid, not protecting their arms against EMP.

Like I said earlier, China does not have the logistical capability to invade Taiwan, much less Japan. They can only send 30,000 troops at a time in their troop transports, and most of those would be sunk by the American or Japanese navy. Those who do manage to land will be quickly massacred. If you don't believe me, then why hasn't China invaded Taiwan yet? True, the Americans will defend Taiwan, but even before the Americans were there, China has never invaded Taiwan. Why? Logistics, my friend. And the fact that the Chinese navy is a heaping pile of shit.

Israel has Patriot and other anti-missile system that can take down most cruise/ballistic missiles. And there won't be much of those. The real danger will be mortars and rockets, which are much harder to intercept.

Iranian claims to "destroy Israel" are mostly hollow. Most Iranian leaders, as well as people, have no desire to be wiped out by nuclear bombers, except for a few (unfortunately, those few are at the top). Anyways, even when Israel wiped out the Osirak nuclear reactor in Iraq, nothing major happened. I doubt anything would happen if there was an air raid against an Iranian nuclear reactor, besides a couple more suicide attacks and rocket attacks. Now if there is a full scale attack... While a ground invasion of Israel is impossible, countless thousands would die from terrorists.
