Prison Architect to have 'paid alpha'

The place to hang out and talk about totally anything general.

Actually I can't imagine how multiplayer could ever be the focus. How many other building/management games on this nature are multiplayer focussed? To me it looks like it plays akin to Dungeon Keeper, Evil Genius, Theme Hospital, those sorts of games.

Well, Dungeon Keeper had multiplayer, certainly 2 did at any rate. . . .

A bit hesitant because I might not be able to contribute much to the actual debugging, though, if they're asking for money I'll totally pay them to see what they've been working on so far. Even if it is hella buggy.

I might kick in on it, but I'm about to start work on two advanced degrees next month so I probably won't have much time to spare.

Saw this at Rezzed today where Mark and Chris gave a talk. Really good stuff very much looking forward to it!

I think either Eurogamer or RPS might have been recording some of the talks so hopefully they'll surface at some point in the near future.

Prison Architect is definitely coming along nicely, I would have happily just messed around in the sandbox mode all weekend if given the chance.

I'd buy it. The more people on Alpha the more bugs found and the cleaner it gets. The more the merrier. On a semi-related note: Was there anything on subversion that could be considered a game-esque program?

Honestly, PA seems like a watered down version of Subversion. Almost like it was made for the ipad. Probably touch optimized. When is the Windows 8 Metro version of this coming out?

Though to be totally honest, I'm not interested playing a game where I get to run a prison unless O.J. gets to be an inmate and I can pretend to be a defense attorney that helps him escape.

How much would the BGP pay for a PA beta? $0.01 USD, minus the foreign transaction fee charged by my credit card.

You don't have the slightest inkling of what either of these two games are.
