Bitcoin to buy IV games

The place to hang out and talk about totally anything general.

Bitpay and Coinbase are giving this service, and yes, you can price everything in Bitcoin, the price change dynamically according with the actual price of the Bitcoin on the market.
Welcome to the real world 8)

If you (seller) set the price to $10, you will receive $10 at the end of the day.
Bitcoin price will change dynamically.

You can go on but it' obviously that you are just talking with your limited informations, you should go back and study Bitcoin deeply.

No one is forced to accept "bitcoin only", but it's pointless to not accept them.

I still don't understand why one should go to all the bother to set up Bitcoin transactions, when there doesn't seem to be any good reason for it. Everyone that would pay with Bitcoin can already pay with the methods already available; why should Introversion add the option? What's wrong with the status quo?

If I set the price to $10, then I have set a price in dollars and no other currency. Those other prices are not really set but derived "instantly", as you say.

I can not say that something is worth 1 Bitcoin one day and still say it's worth 1 Bitcoin the next day. Likewise, when $100 is 0.455 Bitcoins (going by typical price) on the 9th April and 0.556 Bitcoins the very next day, I'm convinced I'm just humouring people by letting people pay that way. It's unnecessary.

Prices are dynamically changed everytime you refresh the page before going to buy
You will see 0.5 BTC, and at the next refresh after 10 minutes you will see 0.49 (example)
So I think that the volatility problem is a closed argument.

@microchip08
Because there are people that have Bitcoin and want to be able to pay with them.
Because it has cheaper fees. If you take them directly it's nearly zero (you can anyway convert them on exchangers directly and automatically by using API)
Bitpay/Coinbase ask a lower fee than Paypal, it seems 0.99% or less.

That's only true when it's not the given price of the good and derived from the price in some other currency. How is it so fucking hard to understand that my point is that a price of an object can not be based on the Bitcoin? How are you this obtuse?

Furthermore, you ignore, once again, the extreme differences in value of a Bitcoin over the course of 24 hours.

This is a fundamental issue I have with this currency and still you will not address it, fobbing me off with the same horseshit response of "It's dynamic and it will be different 10 minutes later", which - let's be completely clear about this - is you just restating that exact fundamental problem. What sound moral reason do I have to let people pay what any sane call interpret to be vastly differing prices without the value of the good changing?

You should go back here:
http://forums.introversion.co.uk/introv ... 425#109425

Bitcoin is a currency AND a payment system.
You are free to use it as you prefer.

It doesn't matter the value of Bitcoin at any seconds.

Set the price in dollar, and the you will have the price in Bitcoin updated regularly (by using all tools/widgets/features of Bitpay/Coinbase), and you will take your lovely dollars in your bank account.
You are going to use Bitcoin as a payment system and not as a deposit currency.

It's a free choice, by using common sense.
Do you want to get money ("dollars") from everywhere in the world where services like Paypal and/or CC don't arrive? YES/NO

is you just restating that exact fundamental problem. What sound moral reason do I have to let people pay what any sane call interpret to be vastly differing prices without the value of the good changing?
It's isn't your business if a customer want to pay in Bitcoin, you aren't forcing them.
The important thing is that at the end of the day you will take the money that you have set as a price for your products.

I think that it's better a paying customer than a pirate one because he can't use paypal/cc.

OK, then. Ignore the dubious currency aspects entirely and appreciate that the merchant doesn't take part in the insane exchange rate shenanigans, fine.

Why Bitcoin before some other payment method? Why not WorldPay?

It can be a good idea to compare different payment system with Bitcoin.
WorldPay isn't a world accepted payment, it's only available on some countries.
Moreover, it seems also that "the user" need to open an account, sign papers and more ...

How can someone deposit on WorldPay?
He will need to use banks/cc and/or "official partners" ...

Bitcoin has a free market choice of exchangers by design on every country.
You can buy them and sell them with everything, without signing anything if you want.

This is just an example of free market, it isn't an "official service":

I would like to sum up:
HostFat is saying that accepting BitCoin payments is relatively risk-free and loss-free because the seller gets the amount he charges in real currencies, and it actually attracts more buyers.

Mas Tnega is saying that BitCoin users are stupid.

And you're both right.

Can you let this go now?

Still a fad. Still got the hallmarks of a bubble. Still doesn't have inherent utility. Still don't want them.
