Vertex Dispenser
Vertex Dispenser
Hi guys, this is going to be slightly spammy, I hope that's okay.
I released a game called Vertex Dispenser a few days ago, and it's maybe something that fans of Introversion games would be interested in - it fits into the same broad genre of "innovative indie RTS". There haven't been many reviews yet - it seems like just after E3 was maybe not the best time to release - but here's a post about it from an IGF judge, here's one from TIGSource, and here's a mini-preview from RockPaperShotgun a few weeks ago.
It's available on Steam, there's a demo if you want to try it out, and it's at 10% off for another day.

brog, friendly word of advice: You are likely to get yelled at by a lot of people.
"Introversion are notorious for having spammed forums to get word out about Uplink"
Not heard that one, but let's work on the assumption it is true. That would have been how long ago? Uplink came out in 2001. Times change; times change faster on the internet.
Perhaps Bert could lock this to protect brog from the torrent of abuse that is likely to fall upon him.

Kieron Gillen mentions it here, search for "guerrilla marketing"; I think IV talked about it on their blog once, or maybe in an interview.
Thanks for the advice. I have seen plenty of "here is my game" threads from the other side, and I'm trying to avoid the mistakes I've seen (although I know "posting somewhere you're not a regular" could be a mistake).

How lovely of you guys to bring this topic completely off-topic and litter it with your uttering about all the things you can do and your words of advice on how to approach life and "ow look at me I'm a moderator and I can do this and that and I'm gonna completely derail your topic about the interesting game you made just for fun, also note that IV approach things much better BLADADIEEBLAAA die blaa".
I for one read the actual article on RPS and this is what I saw:
"This game is super cool. Still trying to get my head around node colouring!"
Congrats guy, I hope your game will sell well and may your next game be even more awesome so that I will play it and promote it as well, like I promote this game: http://www.spyparty.com/ with my guerrilla tactics.

They are mega cute, especially when they've just hatched. Though mostly all they do at that age is sleep.Jordy... wrote:MrBunsy wrote:jelco wrote:Attention span of a turtle?
